our hire terms
By completing your purchase, you agree to the following terms and conditions of hire:
1. General Use
All hired items must be used safely, responsibly, and only for their intended purpose. You agree to follow any instructions or guidance provided.
2. Consultation with Healthcare Provider
You agree to consult with your healthcare provider prior to using any hired products to ensure they are appropriate for your individual circumstances. The Nurtured Mother does not offer any medical advice.
3. Birth Sling Hire
The birth sling is designed for support during labour and birth. You agree to use the sling in a safe manner and inspect it prior to use. Any misuse or damage may incur repair or replacement costs.
4. TENS Machine Hire
The TENS machine is intended for use during labour for pain relief. You agree to follow all usage instructions provided with the device. The unit must be returned in good working condition, with all included components. Loss or damage will result in you being charged the wholesale amount for the item.
5. Birth Pool Hire
The birth pool is supplied for labour use only and is not to be used for unattended or “free birthing” purposes. A single-use liner must always be used with the pool. You agree to follow all setup, usage, and safety instructions provided. The pool must be returned clean and in good condition.
6. Hygiene and Cleaning
All items are cleaned and sanitised between hires in accordance with our strict hygiene guidelines. Customers must ensure items are returned in a clean and hygienic condition, free from any bodily fluids or residue.
7. No Refund Policy & Bond
All hire fees are non-refundable, including in circumstances where the product is not used. Any bond paid will be returned once the item has been received, cleaned, and inspected, and confirmed to be in acceptable condition. In extenuating medical circumstances please get in touch to discuss a refund, we are here to support you.
8. Responsibility and Liability
You accept full responsibility for the safe use of all hired items. We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from misuse, improper setup, or failure to follow instructions.
9. Loss or Damage
You agree to notify us of any damage or faults. Charges will apply for repair, replacement, or missing items, up to the cost of the wholesale price.
10. Extended Hire
To extend a hired product, please contact us prior to the return date, we will provide a link to purchase an additional 2 week extension (subject to availability).
11. Agreement
By proceeding with your purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
